Every kilometre counts double at the Stolberg Castle Run: you run for yourself – and for the region at the same time. By participating, you automatically support a regional project in and around Stolberg. Depending on the discipline, 5 to 10 euros from your entry fee goes directly to the charity pot – you don't have to book or donate anything extra, your contribution is included from the outset.

Running for a good cause

When you register for the Stolberg Castle Run, you are automatically doing good: €5 to €10 (depending on the discipline) is already included in the entry fee and goes towards supporting a regional project.

In 2025, this resulted in a total donation of €4,030, divided as follows:

  • €2,015 for the Lesepunkt library in Rottleberode
  • €2,015 for the theatre project "Thomas Müntzer" in Stolberg (Harz)

 

In 2024, donations totalling €2,880 were collected, divided as follows:

  • €1,440 for the playground at the Festwiese in Rottleberode
  • €1,440 for seating along the Bandwege paths in Stolberg

 

In 2023, donations totalling €3,052.50 were collected, divided as follows:

  • €1,526.25 for the Thyra Kids daycare centre in Rottleberode
  • €1,440 for the Harzzwerge daycare centre in Stolberg
